From 20 to 22 Feb 2008, we’ve been to Yokohama for holiday after first semester. It’s so attractive to see the port, sea, the tallest building in Japan and china town. On the first day we arrived Yokohama, one Khmer and two Myanmar friends had brought us to visit some shopping malls around Yokohama station and introduced some big sale shops for ending of winter. After that, we took subway to National Yokohama University. We’ve spent our dinner at Pasta & Pizza restaurant, Italian restaurant, which looked similar to Saizeriya. Then we walked to the hill of Yokohama dormitory where we slept there. Yokohama dormitory is quite old and each room does not provide a bath tube. We’ve to go to common place for having bath and cost 100yen for 10mn if we want to access hot water. Moreover, shared kitchen in common room also needs 10yen for cooking with limit amount of gas usage.
Day2, in the morning we walked around National Yokohama University campus and spent lunch in cafeteria. From afternoon, we started visiting Sakuragicho, Motomachi and China town. Tabehodai, eat free for 2500yen with 90mn was our dinner at a restaurant in China town. 5 persons in total, have eaten 61 dishes including desserts. And then we went back to dormitory.
Day3, we went back to Tokyo and visited Ueno straight away. And later on we come back our home sweet home, Honjo dormitory by school bus. These were what we’ve done while trip to Yokohama. Thanks for our friends in Yokohama who shared time for us.

Zero Pollution Motors (ZPM) confirmed on Thursday 21 Feb, 2008 that it expects to produce the world’s first air-powered car for the United States by late 2009 or early 2010. As the U.S. licensee for Luxembourg-based MDI, which developed the Air Car as a compression-based alternative to the internal combustion engine, ZPM has attained rights to build the first of several modular plants, which are likely to begin manufacturing in the Northeast and grow for regional production around the country, at a clip of up to 10,000 Air Cars per year.
And while ZPM is also licensed to build MDI’s two-seater OneCAT economy model (the one headed for India) and three-seat MiniCAT (like a SmartForTwo without the gas), the New Paltz, N.Y., startup is aiming bigger: Company officials want to make the first air-powered car to hit U.S. roads a $17,800, 75-hp equivalent, six-seat modified version of MDI’s CityCAT (pictured above) that, thanks to an even more radical engine, is said to travel as far as 1000 miles at up to 96 mph with each tiny fill-up.

Panasonic announced a new SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) flash card on Tuesday that offers both high speed and lots of space for those willing to pay.
The 32-gigabyte card, called the RP-SDV32GU1K, is due to ship in April for about $700. It’s a high-speed “class 6″ card that can transfer data at speeds of 20MB per second–the world’s first at the 32GB capacity, Panasonic asserts.
SD is the dominant format for flash memory, and with the newer SDHC technology that extends capacity beyond 2GB, it’s begun spreading into space-gobbling videocameras. SanDisk, a top flash card brand, announced a 32GB SDHC card costing $350 in January, but it transfers data a notch slower, at 15MB per second.
One major flash card alternative to SD, CompactFlash, can transfer data at a maximum of 45MB per second. However, top transfer speeds are often more useful when copying files from a flash card, since cameras and videocameras often can’t write data at those top speeds.
My friends just not to be named give me a shock with an unexpected birthday event. First, I think possibly my fiancee and friends should celebrate for me because they did the same for others. But it is different from what I thought because everybody prepares a good scene. My fiancee is one of the main actor who make me believe that they are eventually busy and of course not to celebrate for me tonight. In the morning, I have asked her to eat RAMEN SUMORY for dinner and she also agreed. So I cannot think that she will have a chance to do anything for me besides eating out with me. Moreover, a night before my birthday, I went out to make a snowman with Pink coat lady and she also told me that she was busy. With these information, I decided to go to labs to finish my tomorrow dead-line assignment and celebrate my birthday with my fiancee as usual. Second, in the labs, my Cambodian senior was there. This is another information to tell me to forget about birthday party with friends. Anyway, about 6:30PM, 3 of us went back dormitory and my fiancee prepared for dinner because we are lazy to ride bicycle for dining out. When it was about 8:00PM my fiancee asked me to throw garbage into the dump and she also went along with me. After returning, she asked me to go to lounge A where I realized everything. They prepared for surprising me.
Now I know that a tallest man among us with Rire went to supermarket to buy stuff and family of my senior helps to cook and Pink coat lady is a chef. They all worked cooperatively to make this event happen.
The story and scene have been well-prepared. I can say that again.

I have bought Dell XPS-M1330 since July 2007. According to CNET, it used to be the most-popular laptop with a stylish design ever seen before. Recently, its descendant is Dell XPS-M1530 which also receives TrustedReviews Award 2007. Regarding design of M1530, Dell takes the superb M1330 chassis and expands it to a 15.4 in frame. The purpose of using this laptop is versatilely ranking from mobility and performance. Moreover, as of January 24 2008, Dell is expanding its open-source offerings. The XPS M1330 laptop is now available with Ubuntu in Germany, the U.K, France and Spain.
The weather is still cold and precipitates snow to fall again. This is the 3rd time that snow has been fallen down in this winter. After having Shabu Shabu Kosu, in front of dormitory there is a snow shed on the ground in the garden. so there is a good chance to enjoy making snow man as shown in picture. Even though this snowman isn’t really look good, my first self-made snowman isn’t ugly at all. Everybody can call it “Snowly”.
Since we arrive here, it is our first time to taste shabu kosu. It’s a kind of soup with beef, pork and vegetable. During 2 hours with the service called tabehodai we can eat as much as we can and therefore the price is 2 500 yen each person. We can taste this food because of some friends which just not to name. Thank them for sending us there. I think Cambodian students here will definitely have a chance to eat together Shabu Shabu Shabu Shabu Shabu……
